Ok! Dinner time. Yesterday was so busy that I needed a really FAST dinner plan! Looked in the ole trusty cookbook and there it was....Momma's Shrimp Creole! Being born and raised in Louisiana, I LOVE some Cajun food. If you ever visit Atlanta, Georgia, and you like Cajun food, please visit Pappadeaux's Seafood Restaurant! Oh, Boy..you are in for a treat!
Back to dinner..... this recipe is so easy. By the way it taste's, your husband will think you slaved over the stove all afternoon!
(Munchin on the extra celery :0)

1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 cans tomato sauce
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
Red Pepper
Chili powder
Tabasco
1 lb. shrimp, cleaned and peeled ( I buy frozen)
Cooked rice
1. Saute vegetables in oil. |
2. Add tomato sauce once vegetables have cooked down a little. Add seasonings listed to taste. Simmer 20 minutes.
3. Add peeled shrimp, cook 20 more minutes. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
The result....serve with Garlic French Bread!
